Becoming a NYC lifeguard.?

As with most public service jobs, you have to get a lot of education. First, you would need a license for CPR. You also need to learn basic swimming. Also, you probably have to go to college for a degree in security/guard/CPR. The main job of a life guard, is to enforce the pool rules. This includes the adult swim, no horse play, ect. There isn't much real life saving.
