What pet medications should I use?

I had previously been giving my dog Revolution, both for the heartworm and flea preventative aspects, but she ended up getting whipworms, which aren't covered by Revolution apparently. So she was put on Sentinel. I was wondering if I should have her on this and also get her a flea medication such as Frontline Plus?
