Flying cargo jets in the military?

I have read all about the difficulty of becoming a pilot in the military. But most of those questions are of people wanting to fly fighter jets or helicopters. What I'm wondering is how difficult it is to fly cargo jets for the military. I mean, flying fighters or heli's would be awesome, but im trying to be more realistic with my flight dreams.
